ERP Software for Mexican Businesses

Mexico has one of the most mature and demanding electronic invoicing systems in the world. The Comprobante Fiscal Digital por Internet (CFDI) has been mandatory for all taxpayers since 2014, and the current CFDI 4.0 format requires detailed XML documents that must be digitally signed and validated by a certified Authorized Certification Provider (PAC) in real time before they are considered legally valid. Every invoice, credit note, debit note, and payroll receipt must pass through this validation process. There is no option to issue a paper invoice and digitize it later.

Business Environment in Mexico

The Servicio de Administracion Tributaria (SAT) uses CFDI data as the primary source for tax administration. Monthly electronic accounting reports, including trial balances and journal entries, must be uploaded to the SAT portal by the 25th of the following month. The 2026 tax reform introduced stricter authenticity requirements. SAT can now request evidence (including photos, videos, or recordings) to verify that transactions reflected in a CFDI actually occurred. Criminal liability for issuing, receiving, or facilitating fraudulent CFDIs now extends to all parties involved, including digital platforms.

Yukti generates CFDI 4.0-compliant XML documents with all required fields, including the buyer and seller RFC (tax ID), tax regime codes, product and service classification codes from the SAT catalog (c_ClaveProdServ), and unit of measure codes. The system integrates with certified PACs for real-time stamping and maintains the five-year archival requirement for both issued and received CFDIs.

Mexico's tax system also includes the Impuesto al Valor Agregado (IVA) at a general rate of 16%, with a reduced rate for border regions, and the Impuesto Sobre la Renta (ISR) for income tax. Payroll CFDIs must include detailed breakdowns of salary, overtime, benefits, ISR withholding, social security (IMSS) contributions, and retirement fund (AFORE) deposits. Yukti automates payroll CFDI generation with all statutory fields.

For businesses operating in Mexico's manufacturing sector, particularly maquiladoras under the IMMEX program, Yukti tracks temporary import inventories and duty obligations required by customs authorities. The system supports the Carta Porte complement required for goods transportation CFDIs, which became mandatory for freight movements.
